Back from the Big Island and the recent Kayak4fish.com Steve Moyer Memorial Kayak Tournament. Lots of fish in Kona this year,Ulua, Roi, and the ever present needle fish. A nice 14 lb Yellowtail fell for my Sardine fished on my newest reel in the fleet. The Saltiga 30t filled with 50 lb.superbraid line handled the job. More than once I felt kelp on the line but the line would saw through the kelp and allowed me to land the tasty hamachi. Join me in Cataina or for a paddle in So Cal, conditions are good for some fishing. TL Rhino
